Throughout the decades long before we founded Joe Cast Newport, fishing off the coast of Southern California was always a part of us. Whether it's the freedom of being out in the waters, the excitement of the day's catch, or being out with friends; there's always a story to tell.

We also found out during this time that even the most recommended gear always found the same recurring problems - either the gear was very high quality and very expensive, or the gear was very affordable but lasted only a few trips.

Somewhere along the way, we couldn't resist the urge to challenge this norm. We set out to merge the gap between cost and quality. We set our sights on building, testing, and refining a unique set of high quality fishing pliers while offering more reasonable costs to everyone.
